Tallahassee, Joe Fletcher & The Wrong Reasons and Coyote Kolb performed a benefit show at the Brighton Music Hall in Boston last Thursday night in honor of Brown Bird’s David Lamb, who was diagnosed with a form of leukemia a little over a month ago. Brown Bird fans have already raised more than $67,000 via an online fundraiser last month to help pay for Lamb’s treatment, but a few benefit shows have popped up as well. Lamb began chemotherapy in mid-June, returned home from the hospital on Friday and according to the band’s Facebook page, is doing well.

While on tour in Houston following the release of the band’s latest album, Fits of Reason (Amazon MP3 & Spotify), Lamb was rushed to the ER and began testing. In a June 1st Q&A with the Boston Globe, Lamb discussed his treatment and the impact his illness has had on the band so far.

A few so, so quality vids from the Thursday night show have popped up on YouTube in the last few days. Check them out below.

P.S. Dave, from one cancer survivor to another, I feel for you and am rooting for you.
