As we have for the last four years, the grass clippings team again scanned festivarian flesh at last weekend’s Newport Folk Festival for stand out tats. While we’re always bummed to miss a few (e.g. Nikki Lane – sorry we couldn’t find you), we’ve got some good contenders this year.
This year’s lineup includes three returning competitors – including Amy from The Bluegrass Situation, Stephen from Spirit Family Reunion and the 2013 champion JJ Sheffer, who each have new ink to tout. JJ previously won with her NFF logo tat, but recently added a gorgeous Pete Seeger banjo.
