Congrats to JJ Sheffer, a fan (and new friend of grass clippings) from York, PA, who has won the grass clippings Best Tattoos of the 2013 Newport Folk Festival contest. JJ, you’ve won a $25 gift certificate to Cracker Barrel (NOTE: I recommend Grandpa’s Country Fried Breakfast).
JJ was trailed by Hurray for the Riff Raff’s Alynda Lee Segarra by just a few votes. Langhorne Slim also made a strong showing. But, JJ’s damn fine salad bar of tattoos on her outer thigh – which include a Woody Guthrie cartoon and the Newport Folk Festival logo – was just to irrestitble to the grass clippings community.
