Early this year, Brooklyn-based singer songwriter Kelley McRae and guitarist Matt Castelein released Easy on My Mind (Amazon & Spotify), an album the duo mostly wrote in a cabin in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina that blends their well-matched voices over Castelein’s picking, some nice backing pedal steel and fine Dobro on songs like “Full Cup,” – my favorite off the record.
Today, McRae releases a video for the album’s opener, “Fair Weather” – one of the slower tunes from the album that McRae said she wrote for all of the people that have made her crazy musical life possible. We’re excited to premiere it here.
Later this week, McRae & Castelein kickoff their Fall Tour in Guthrie, OK before moving through the Midwest, the Far West and the South.
