For any of us still getting over festival fever, Lincoln Center classes up the genre this weekend with the last shows of their Out of Doors festival. Newport alums Hurray for the Riff Raff and Jason Isbell are in the queue to perform on Saturday, as well as rock vet and all-around badass Nick Lowe (who, by the way, recently released a lovable rockabilly-infused holiday album).
And we’d be remiss to not give a gentle push (over the edge) to those debating about whether or not to attend one or both Joy Kills Sorrow shows this week, at The Rock Shop and Rockwood Music Hall respectively. Two is better than one, and they’re promising paper dolls to anyone who’s that committed to the cause.
Paper dolls, y’all.
