A couple weeks back, Patty Griffin released American Kid (Amazon MP3 & Spotify) – an album that many say is a revisit to the folk goddess’s roots. I disagree. She’s the same as she always was, but just took a few adventures with the last few records. Either way, with songs like “Wild Old Dog” and “Faithful Son,” the album is hard not to love.
Griffin kicks off Celebrate Brooklyn with a free show in Prospect Park on June 5th. Here are a couple of live vids of a performance at The Living Room a few weeks back (apologies for the jackass that’s talking in the background – not our recording).
