Not many bands could get away with sounding just as earnest writing about the esoteric traits of JCPenny, Kohl’s and Little Caesars as they do penning emotive, banjo-laden ballads about buried memories. But, Taylor Swift can … wait, no, we mean Frontier Ruckus. They can. And luckily, the guys will be coming back through NYC this Saturday as they tour to promote their latest record, Eternity of Dimming. Come down to Mercury Lounge and we’ll drink whiskey and sigh together.

While you’re at “it,” you should probably head to The Living Room on Monday to see Samantha Crain, too. Yeah. Do it. Her latest album is stellar, and to prove it, below is a vid of her performing one of my favorite tracks from the record – “Never Going Back.” Is it a fave both because it’s awesome and because it has the same name as a Fleetwood Mac song? Definitely.
