September really is a great month, ain’t it? We get to celebrate whiskey (bourbon, to be precise), welcome the fall, and blow out 100 candles on Woody Guthrie’s birthday cake.
Speaking of which — don’t miss the 100th b-Day extravaganza happening on Saturday at Brooklyn College in honor of Guthrie’s centennial. Lots of faces to be seen and strings to be played. Also, I think it may be safe to expect some additional surprise musical guests. Just sayin’.
Plus – Frontier Ruckus, Anais Mitchell, Tift Merritt, Zach Williams and The Bellow, Chris Thile and Michael Daves, Aoife O’Donovan, Noam Pikelny and a bunch more will be around the boroughs spreading ‘grassy cheer. Dancin’ shoes, let’s do this.
