A press release out from BRIC this morning quoted the fact that last summer, the Celebrate Brooklyn! lineup topped Gothamist‘s list of “100 Reasons Why Brooklyn Lives up to the Hype.” This year’s lineup was just announced in this morning’s wee hours, and it promises similarly to not disappoint. Of note, Lyle Lovett, Aoife O’Donovan, The Head and the Heart, Lost in the Trees and grass clippings friends Spirit Family Reunion will be among those taking the stage at the Prospect Park Bandshell.
Check out some of the shows we’re most excited about, below. You can read the full lineup here, plus listen to a Celebrate Brooklyn! playlist. (Note: the festival kicks off June 5 with a free concert by reggae icon Jimmy Cliff.)
