clippings calendar: This Week’s NYC Must-See Shows

Keeping it short and sweet this week, y’all. The most notable shows are undeniably the two back-to-backs by Andrew Bird this Friday and Saturday at Beacon — both of which have yet to sell out, and both of which have amazing opening acts (Friday opener Patrick Watson’s latest album is a must-hear. Also, he’s dreamy, right? I digress. Check out NPR’s First Listen. And no seriously Patrick, call me). If you haven’t bought a ticket yet or were on the fence, check ’em out.

Feist and supporting act Timber Timbre are also playing at Radio City this Saturday. Kind of shocked by the fact this didn’t sell out, too … but it could be an opportunity to get some cheap tickets to a great show, if you haven’t seen Feist live during her most recent tour. I saw her at the beginning of the Metals stint late last year when she played BAM and was blown away. I would expect nothing less this go ’round.

And on a side note, always feel free to comment, email, tweet or whatever techy thing you partake in to hip us to new shows or events around the city. The more eyes and ears, the better. Happy folking this week! Full calendar below:
