Americana December at Carnegie Hall

There are two reasonably epic shows next month at the venue of venues.

Justin Townes Earle
Ryan Adams

On Friday, December 2nd WFUV and Carnegie Hall bring Justin Townes Earle to Zankel Hall, the smaller, more contemporary stage at Carnegie. Then, just four days later, Bowery Presents will bring Ryan Adams to Stern Auditorium, or the main stage, on Tuesday, December 6th.

JTE’s Zankel performance will be his first show back in the U.S. following a European tour. While some might say Zankel Hall is in the shadow of its older, classier brother, it’s an incredible place to see music. The acoustics are unmatched and there’s not a bad seat in that house.

As noted previously, I think Ashes & Fire, the latest album out of Ryan Adams, will be at the top of many Best of 2011 lists. I’d say that on a stage like this, one could expect some surprise visitors, so it should be a pretty incredible night of music.

Both shows have limited availability so don’t slack ass in getting your tickets.
