Just last week, all three members of Nickel Creek were on stage together again at a sold out Fiona Apple show at Largo in LA. While we still can dream about a Nickel Creek reunion tour, it’s not likely to happen anytime soon. However, Sean and Sara Watkins will join the Blind Boys of Alabama for a number of stops on their tour this fall. According to a post by Antimusic, the two-thirds-of-Nickel-Creek-sibling-duo will both open and sit in with the band for each of the shows below. The Blind Boys released gospel album Take The High Road in May.
Sean and Sara previously performed as a duet in The Watkins Family Hour, but it was limited to just a few shows. In addition to Nickel Creek and solo albums, the two also joined WPA and Mutual Admiration Society. Sara has spent much of this year on tour with The Decemberists as she records her second album.
