Just read a pretty amazing story about Brooklyn’s David Berkeley in the newest issue of Relix. Berkeley’s new album, Some Kind of Cure, was written while he was living in a 35 person village in Corsica (the island the Mediterranean Sea). The album, which was completely funded by his fans, was written shortly after Berkeley’s son was born – his Cure, he tells Relix. I just bought the album, but I was immediately struck by both the writing and sound. Here’s the first track off the album, “George Square,” live at Rockwood on the Lower East Side.
