christmas grass: Mindy Smith – “Follow The Shepherd Home”

Mindy Smith’s My Holiday was released in 2007 and isn’t your typical “throwing a few songs together because I haven’t written any good stuff lately, but need some cash” kinda Christmas record (for that, please seet Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You”). Mindy’s got a few good traditional renditions on there. Also a few great originals, including my favorite song this Christmas, titled “Follow The Shepherd Home.” It’s one of her more spirtual numbers and has a great mandolin melody all the way through.
