Works Progress Administration, the group made up of Glen Phillips (Toad the Wet Sprocket), Sean Watkins (Nickel Creek) and Luke Bulla (Jerry Douglas Band, Lyle Lovett), hits NYC this week with a show at the Highland Ballroom on Thursday, Nov 5th.

Their album, wpa, has a fuller sound than the Mutual Admiration Society album kicked out by Nickel Creek and Glen Phillips a few years back, but I’m a big fan of each of them. You can listen to the albumn all the way through on their site below.  The band also features an “Executive Board” that includes Sean’s sister, Sara Watkins (Nickel Creek), and Benmont Tench (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers).
