For our first installment of local clippings, I look no further than my own neighborhood (Ditmas Park). Here is where Spirit Family Reunion performs everything from Avett Bros-styled crazygrass to old-time gospel. Check out “Woody Guthrie’s America” on their MySpace page for a taste.

You can see them live at The Lovin’ Cup in Williamsburg on Tuesday, September 29th or at Alphabet City’s finest establishment, the Lakeside Lounge, on Monday, October 19.

    Mat “Twain” Davidson. *( Also of the Low Anthem)
